The Tisbury School Addition and Renovation Project continues to progress within the established schedule. Currently, sitework for the new gym addition is concentrated on excavation and backfill operations for the new concrete foundation systems. Concrete foundation formwork is underway at the north footing, which connects to the 1929 Building and the south wall along Spring Street. Monitoring points have been established and underpinning of the existing north wall of the 1929 Building has begun. Inside the existing 1929 Building, installation of new ¾” plywood subflooring on the 2nd and 3rd floors and temporary power and lighting is underway, along with structural modifications/enhancements. Roof materials are scheduled to arrive at the end of May, with the roof installation for the 1929 building scheduled to begin in June. Street openings to bring in new utilities have been postponed until summer school recess to lessen any impacts on school operations.

Please Note: Temporary Lighting within the existing 1929 Building will remain on 24/7 starting next week for security purposes.
